Best Danxia Scenery on Earth

The geopark has the best development and the most complete series of Danxie landform among 737 Danxie areas which have been discovered so far in China.Geneses of Danxie landform of the geopark consist of main tectonic erosion and accompanying water current erosion,collapse-remaining,collapse-piling up,solution weathering and solution weathering-collapse.There developed such twenty-three types of Danxia landform as stone castle,stone wall,stone girder,stone cliff,stone pillar,stone peak,peak forest,peak cluster,guesta,pigback mountain,valley(a-thread-of-sky),natural bridge,perforate,flat cave,rock trough,water eroded cave,erect cave,honeycomb-like cave,collapsed and piled up block of rock,stone door,shaped stone snd natural fresco.

Rock is highly reputed as the first of the rarest landscapes on earth and the Trunk Mountain pertorate of stone wall is praised as the first land elephant in the world.Moreover,four appreciations of Old Man Peak is more over much more ingenious and incomparable, offering human beings a great deal of enlightening.

The poem,"a strip of streamlet and red cliffs combine organically together,numerous mountains in the cloud and green luxuriant vegetations match perfectly",describes the fantastic and excellent natural wonderful scenery that the meandering and bright and clean Luxi River and the red cliffs and walls on it's banks combine organically together,that bluish green water surrounds the red mountains and that mountain,water,cloud and the azure sky compete with each other in elegance.Lakes with different area spread all over the geopark.When you enjoy the natural beauties of the lakes and the mountains as if you placed yourself on the Land of Peach Blossoms.The Mountain is live for the water and water is charming for the mountain.It's beauty lies in it's nature and it's wonder comes from it's primitiveness.
Dragon¡¯s Pool
In the geopark,flowing springs and flying waterfalls runrapidly and straight,and go freely and easily as beads flying and jades splashing in various styles,setting off Danxia landform scenery of numerous orcks and valleys.
The Fairy Maiden Sprinkling Flowers is a most excellent landscape whose silvery waterfall rushes down off the steep cliff being 100 high.
There water drops are waving to and fro with wind as thought silvery beads were descending down from the Heaven and drops of sweet dew were sprinkling the word
Taking Dragon Cave2
Danxia caves,which are characterized by abundance,fantasy and excellence are gathered together in the geopark.
The largest can contain about one thousand of people and the smallest look like honeycomb.
They ofen assemble together in groups and rise one highter than another.as though the stars at dawn were embedded in the red cliff and wall.
Some of the caves became the permanent dwells for the ancient ye people,but most of then were used as good sites for the ancestors learning,or lecturing,or dwelling in seclusion or building temples.
Strogly emotional summer day
The geopark belongs to the subtropical wet monsoon climate and has superior natural conditions and fine ecological environments.Here it's variety and rarity of living creatures and it's beautiful Danxia landscaper and it's historical heritages constitutr together a splendid painting scroll.In thegeopark,there are over 800 species of plants.In the Longhushan sernicarea grow256 stubs of ancient and famous trees,of which 28 stubs are 500-1000vears old ,Camphor tree of 1000 vears and four seasons laurel of ten centuries and century tortoise-skin pine are well known as "the three elders " among the plants in Guifeng Ares.Good vegetation is suitable for birds and beasts dwelling and multiplying.Inthe gropark, there exist over 30 species of beasts and 184 species of birds. Here startled birds fly in flocks and their sounds can travel sveral miles. Here the most primitive and wildest natural environments have become the home for animals and the Heaven for plants and the geogark is also the best place where human beings get well along with the nature.¡£
Alchemical Pool Waterfall
Longhushan is one of the birthplaces of Chinese Civilization and it's unique glorious inheritances of histoy and culture are in perfectly harmony with it's natural beauties of the Dan xia mountains full of miracles, spirts and elegance in its distinctive way. Longhushan is the birthplace of cliff burial in the world, Inthese cliff caves distrbuted in an area of 50km,there are over 200 extant cliff tombs of the ancient Yue people in the Spring and Autumn and in the Warring States Periods over 2600 years ago.These cliff tombs have so long a history,so dense adistrbution,so large anumber and so rich burial articles that they are well known as "the best in China" and also as "an most excellence in the worle".Longhushan is the source of of Chia's Taoism,in which the Taoism lasted for over 1900 yrars and was handed down for sixty-three generations.There have existed a laudatory title of "Heavenly Master Zhang in the South and Confucius in the North" all the time.As one of the birthplaces of the South Zen of Buddhism and the stone cave in Tang Dynasty and Song Dynasty,Nayan Temple was estabilshed against caves whose monocave is 70m long ,30m high and 30m deep inward,It's stone niches whose monocave is the Buddhist history and in the ancient sculpture of stone cave of China .Nayan Temple is also granted the laudatory title of "the First Buddhist Cave of China".At the beginning of the Chinese classical famous novel "all Men Are Brothers ", the first chapter says "Heavenly Master Zhang prayed and offered a sacrifice to exorcise pestilences and Marshall Hong let out demons by mistake",which have made Longhushan landscapes well=known in the world for a long time. As an ancient town, Shangqing still retains its primitive appearance and old style.The pendent house,built in Ming and Qing dynasties,is worthy of the most excellent architectural works of Chinese folk buildings.Many famous poems and masterpieces and stone inscriptions were handed down adminring Longhushan mountain in the past dynasties and notable's poems were read and spread for all time.
